About
Adriane is a Sydney based actor and graduate of the 3-year full time Conservatoty at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York.
A born people person Adriane loves the collaboration, pursuit of presence and exploration of connection that is fundamental to acting work.
A kids-course drama tutor for all ages and a former clown for one of Sydney's leading child portrait photographers, Adriane has a particular affinity for working with children.
Finding her first love in theatre, prior to her time in New York, Adriane was not only an actor but an independent producer and stage manager.
While in New York she relished the culture of new work and took part in various development readings, most notably for Amelia Roper’s play ‘Zurich.’
Adriane appeared in various web series, including a recurring role on ‘Sit Black and Relax’ for InColour Tv and Amazon Prime.
Adriane also produced and starred in short film ‘Sourdough Starter’ by Jessica Marshall - which incidentally began her love of cooking all things sourdough!
Relocating home to Sydney at the end of 2019, Adriane jumped in to the development of Grace Chapple’s ‘Never Closer,’ which went on to receive numerous accolades including a Griffin Award nomination and publication by Australian Plays Transform.
Since the onset of the pandemic Adriane has also greatly enjoyed her work with Humming Puppy yoga studio and Tara D’Cruz-Noble, specifically and most recently collaborating for the online class series ‘Moving Through Pregnancy.’
Her yoga practice has given her an even deeper respect for movement and breath work.
This year she also looks forward to reigniting her passion and study for the Italian language.

Adriane is passionate about plays that explore important contemporary debates and big ideas entwined in ordinary personal dramas. Her greatest strength as an artist is her pursuit of empathy.
Having studied Gender and Cultural Studies at the University of Sydney she is especially intrigued in explorations of gender and identity. She would love to develop new works and period pieces in this vein.
Adriane is also interested in exploring indie films and television. Her strengths shine in the dramedy genre because she loves to find the comedy in imperfect characters with recognizable humanity, in the struggle of the every day.
Adriane White is equal parts believable and enigmatic… At one glance, she embodies strength and frailty…. White’s grace endures, despite her character’s downfall.
